Introduction to Glass Beadmaking - Winter Session

Saturday, January 26th, 9:30am – 4pm

$75 member   $85 non-member

$15 material fee*

 

 So you are interested in glass beadmaking?  This 1 day workshop will introduce you to the wonders of controlling glass.  Learn about studio safety, types of glass, annealing, equipment, and basic bead making techniques using Moretti glass and an oxygen/propane torch.  This workshop is geared for first time students.

The Next Step – Stringers!

Saturday, May 11th 9:30am – 4pm

$75 member   $85 non-member

$15 material fee*


 Students will learn how to pull and use encased stringers, twisties, and ribbon cane.  We will pull reduction frit srtingers to create metallic accents on your beads.  This class will build on basic beginning beadmaking skills, and help students further their understanding of the properties of glass.

Note:  Students must have completed a beginning beadmaking class.  Suitable for beginning to intermediate beginning students.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

 

Open Torch

Sunday, April 20st  OR   Sunday, May 10th  11am -2pm

$30 member   $35 non-member

$10 material fee*

 

Grow your beadmaking skills in this guided open torch setting.  This is your chance to practice the skills you have already acquired from a beadmaking class with the guild.  Please bring a padded envelope for mailing your beads to you.

 

All beads are kiln annealed!
